Crashing Wave

I took a little walk at Mentor Headlands Beach park last week. It looks mostly the same as I remember when I was younger. I forgot that there are sand dunes there that are a part of a rehabilitation project. Apparently, this in one of the few remaining dune areas around Lake Erie.

While I was walking around the dunes I felt the wind pick up and the waves getting louder as they crashed. Who can resist pictures of waves crashing, so I took a few shots.

I like this one because it’s all stages of a wave crashing at once. On the right the wave is still coming in, then move left and it’s starting to break, and then a fully crashed wave on the left of the photo. It’s the circle of life…
