Fiery Sunset

I love that the sun is still just peaking over the horizon, and the gradient of color from the fiery reds and oranges up to the blues of the evening sky. This photo was taken when, on a whim, we decided to chase the sunset to see where we could catch something. Off the side of the road that we have driven past hundreds of times we found a spot.

I’m not sure what is happening on this little lot of land, but there was a large pile of dirt in the middle of it. I carefully climbed this pile with camera in hand hoping to not fall down, but mainly hoping to not damage the camera.

Once the sun got where it is in the photo, I was able to shoot over the brush and trees to catch this spectacle. This is pretty much SOOC with a touch of horizon straightening because, as mentioned, climbing a dirt pile.
