Goose

I got up quite early the other morning to catch the sunrise and chase the light around town. I started my morning just before dawn at a local park watching the sunrise over Turkeyfoot Lake. It was quite the sunrise, and although the air had a good chill to it, the sky was brilliant.

Afterwards, I made my way over to Lake Anna – lots of lakes around here! There I found a gaggle of geese hanging out in the crisp morning air and also in the morning sun. I liked this photo because of the drop of water captured along with the rings around the goose. Somehow, 1/200 sec captured the water droplet.

Afterwards I had a lovely breakfast at the local coffee shop before heading home. For having gone out before daybreak it was a good morning!
