Rail Mail

A few weeks ago we visited the Ohio Railway Museum in Columbus, OH. It was a cool experience to see several of the historical engines and cars and even ride in an interurban passenger car.

This photo was from a mail car. It had rows and rows of mailbags and different sorting areas. I don’t know if this mail piece was staged or if it was never delivered, but it looked pretty authentic. In this photo, I liked the lines and textures, and the lighting somehow set the mood. It might have been a better shot with the macro lens, but you shoot with what you have (and that was the 24-200)

I took a few more photos that I really liked, so more may show up here for you to see.
