Double Sunstars

This is another shot from the morning sunrise and morning light chase around town. Over by Lake Anna, I saw one of the few remaining trees that had a ton of color. I saw this blazing red tree from across the lake and had to get it in some photos.

First, I took some pictures from across the lake with this beautiful tree reflecting in the water. It was a nice photo, but I realized that the sun was still low enough in the sky that I might get it to back light illuminate the leaves on this tree.

When I wandered to that side of the lake I kept having to shield my eyes from the crazy reflection of the sun on the lake. But I didn’t realize until I started taking some photos that I was getting not one but two suns in the picture with the tree. There’s actually another photo with three suns in the tree! I don’t quite know how that happened, but I liked the sunstars on this one better so that’s what you see.

This one is straight of of the camera, and I’m really happy with how it turned out.
