Train Bridge

Here’s another photo from the recent Columbus photo walk. This one was taken early in the walk, and of course I look for lines and patterns. The subject is a train bridge over W Town St that I’m pretty sure carries CSX through Columbus. (there is a CSX train yard just a bit south of this location)

I really liked this one because of the lines along with the aging of the structure. I ended up overexposing the sky and creating a negative dark space where under the bridge was dark. This focused on the pattern of the cross members of the beam which I thought looked interesting.

When I processed this one in Luminar I added just a bit of exposure to the structure and enhanced the sky just slightly to show that it actually is sky. It was so overexposed it looked like negative white space. There was also a wild little plant at the top that I erased out to bring more focus to the pattern and lines.
