End of Season

Yesterday, Christmas Day, we decided to go for a photo walk around nearby downtown Cuyahoga Falls. There were lots of decorations, and it was a beautiful December day with sunshine and temps in the low 60s.

I found a few things to take photos of, but this one stuck out. There were a bunch of Christmas ornaments in a planter outside of a restaurant. There were some lights strung through them, and I’m sure when they were first put up they looked pretty nice. But it looks like time hasn’t been great to these and they’ve gotten broken.

This represents my current feeling about this Christmas season. The past few months have been really busy to the point where it feels like it was just the beginning of October and we were getting ready for the holidays at work. Now we’re at the end, it’s been a blur, and I’m just ready for that part of the year to be done. Kinda like this broken ornament.

Looking forward to the new year.
