Bakery

For the photo challenge last week, the theme was “Baked.” Of course I thought about baked goods, and the photo above wasn’t my submission. But it was my second favorite (and it was pretty tasty).

I figured many people would take photos of baked goods on a plate other than table, but I’m a bit of a macro fan. So I popped on the 50mm macro lens and took a few shots. This photo is actually 5 photos stitched together in Luminar. I think the stitch is just a bit off, but at least the whole thing is in focus.

This is a Cherry Cheesecake donut from Peace, Love and Little Donuts. I know, it’s not actually baked, but we’ll call it baked adjacent. It was decorated in a most artful way, and I was amazed at how fast it was made. I would have had icing everywhere!

Here are a few more shots from the donut shop. I’m amazed that I only left with a half dozen donuts. Staring at them while taking pictures made me want one of each flavor!

Here’s hoping the next Photo Challenge doesn’t have me gaining 5lbs!

  1. What a fun take on the “Baked” theme! I love that you went with a macro approach—those close-up details make it look extra delicious! The stitching in Luminar looks impressive, especially to get everything so sharp and in focus. That Cherry Cheesecake donut sounds amazing; “baked adjacent” totally counts in my book! I’d probably have icing everywhere, too, so kudos for capturing it so perfectly.
